YOU WILL:
Leadership
The Software Development Manager/ lead is first and foremost a high-level departmental leader who develops and maintains his/her operational roadmap, ensuring that our architecture and tech-debt project capabilities continually improve and align with overall business’s goals and objectives.
This role is a key member of the technology leadership team.
Collaboration and Support
The role of the leader is a collaborative one and, as such, they build a collaborative culture within the department and partners with various departments within the organization.
The leader will also work closely with their VP, the Product Team, and the Delivery Team in the planning and execution of projects.
Software Development Best Practices
The leader will be an advocate for continuous improvement of skills and processes to further the refinement of our craft. This will include, but not limited to architectural alignment, up-skilling, security awareness, and technical debt.
Knowledge leader
The leader plays a lead role in ensuring the documentation and maintenance of knowledge within the technology team is accurate.
YOU NEED:
- 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership position or: 7+ years’ experience in software development building scalable SaaS solutions
- At least 2-3 years of experience managing a team
- A degree in computer science or equivalent
- A passion for mentorship, project management, and process improvement
- Strong knowledge of software architecture and software design best practices
- The empathy to understand the needs of the developers, the platform, and the customer
- Passion for people, building excellence through coaching, feedback, and career development of team members
- The desire to empower team members, hold them accountable, measure productivity and motivate them to do great work
- Possess a growth mindset, open to learning from diverse perspectives and experiences from both your peers and from you team
