ABOUT THE CLIENT:

Our client is the largest TV and video on demand provider in the Nordic countries. The company serves almost half the population of the Nordics with quality streaming video entertainment, alongside telecommunications products and services. The quality of the services is paramount and the company continuously strives to improve. One vital aspect of the offering is video-related metadata (data and images relating to a video, like titles, descriptions, actors, etc.). To offer an excellent user experience, metadata from various world-leading sources need to be merged and verified.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will play an integral part in this continuous never-ending improvement process making the data shine and allowing the customers an even better service.

YOU WILL:

• Develop innovative software solutions based upon world-leading datasets
• Ensure deliveries meet quality standards and take part in a fully accountable team
• Use state of the art frameworks and libraries
• Improve our processes to become the most lean and agile developing machine out there
• Share knowledge and learn from your peers, especially with those who are not in the same cross-functional agile team as you are
• Participate to modernize and standardize our technical landscape, development tools and frameworks
• Contribute innovative ideas and valuable insight allowing us to remain more popular than services like Netflix 😉

YOU NEED:

• Experience with AWS
• Strong english skills
• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD processes and tools
• Implement IaC (Infrastructure as Code) with Terraform
• Ability to identify time consuming and error prone manual tasks and then build tooling to automate them
• Understand large-scale complex systems from a reliability perspective
• Hold yourself and others around you to higher stands when working with production
• Know-how on design and implementation of microservices, their challenges and pitfalls
• You value simplicity

WOULD BE A PLUS:

• Relevant experience with a JVM language and Spring
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Gitlab CI / CD
• Ansible
